2015 Honda Fit Earns 5 Star Safety Rating from NHTSA

If you have been looking at Honda models and trying to figure out which one you like best, stop by Kokomo Auto World to test drive the 2015 Honda Fit. This subcompact did what very few subcompacts can do – it earn a 5-Star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Break the Stars Down

The overall rating from NHTSA is made up of several sub-ratings including front, side and rollover tests. The 2015 Fit received five stars in the side and front crash tests; and it receive four stars in the rollover tests. This model year features Honda’s next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure. During a crash, this system helps distribute crash energy throughout the vehicle, instead of letting it be concentrated in one area.

Safety Features

Additional safety features include curtain airbags for the front and rear seats, front side airbags and several others. The Fit also features LaneWatch blind spot display and hill start assist.

Standard Equipment

Standard equipment includes electronic stability control, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a rear window wiper, four speakers, a security system, spoiler, fully automatic headlights, a rear view camera, speed control, ABS brakes, Bluetooth, remote keyless entry, 160-watt AM/FM stereo/CD system, MP3 decoder and power door mirrors.

Additional features include a split folding rear seat, driver and passenger vanity mirrors, a split folding rear seat, traction control, a radio data system, a trip computer, rear view camera, an overhead airbag, ABS brakes, illuminated entry and a low tire pressure alert system.

Just a couple days ago, the Honda Heritage Museum in Marysville, Ohio opened its doors to some incredible displays that tell the story of Honda’s past in North America, and more specifically, Ohio.
